FAQ

Common questions

Everything you’re probably wondering.

Straight answers about registration timelines, documents, pricing, and how we work — and yes, we’ve made our independence from CIPC and SARS very clear below too.

Working with us
Are you affiliated with CIPC or SARS?
No. Nexus Business Services (Pty) Ltd is a private, independent firm. We are not CIPC, SARS, or any government department, and we don’t act on their behalf. We assist clients with the private preparation and lodgment of documentation on their behalf.
How do I get started?
Reach out through our contact form or WhatsApp with a short description of what you need. We’ll respond with next steps, typically within one business day.
Can you assist businesses anywhere in South Africa?
Yes. Our services are handled digitally, so we’re able to assist clients across South Africa, not only in Pretoria where we’re based.
Do you work with individuals as well as registered companies?
Yes, we support both individuals and registered businesses, from first-time company registration through to ongoing bookkeeping, payroll, and tax compliance.
Registration & compliance
How long does company registration take?
Once we have your documents and name reservation is approved, registration typically takes 24–48 hours. Name reservation itself usually takes 1–2 business days, so the full process is normally complete within about a week.
What documents do I need to register a company?
Generally you’ll need a certified copy of each director’s ID, proof of residential address, and your proposed company names. We’ll guide you through exactly what’s needed for your specific situation once we understand your business.
What happens if my annual returns are overdue?
Overdue annual returns can lead to penalties and, eventually, deregistration of your company. If you’re behind, get in touch as soon as possible so we can help you get compliant again.
What is a beneficial ownership declaration, and do I need to file one?
It’s a filing that discloses the individuals who ultimately own or control a company. Most registered companies in South Africa are required to submit one. We can help you determine your obligations and prepare the filing.
Pricing & security
How much does it cost to register a company or use your services?
Pricing depends on the specific service and your business structure. Get in touch for a free, tailored quote before you commit to anything.
How do you keep my documents and information secure?
We handle all client documents and personal information with strict confidentiality, sharing information only as needed to complete the services you’ve requested.
